All Dana Hall applicants are strongly encouraged to use our online application process through Ravenna.
English Language Requirements
Dana Hall does not offer an ESL program and therefore requires students to be highly proficient in speaking, listening, writing and reading the English language. Most students admitted to grade 9 achieve a TOEFL (iBT version) score of 90 or above. International applicants to grades 5-8 must demonstrate English fluency on the SSAT or ISEE. Dana Hall considers all application materials, in addition to testing, in order to best determine an applicant’s potential fit at Dana Hall.
Applicants to grades 9-12 who are non-US citizens or dual citizens, whose native language is not English, are required to take the TOEFL exam in addition to the SSAT. Score reports for both tests must be sent directly from ETS and SSAT using our school code: 7507 for TOEFL and 2728 for SSAT. We cannot accept score reports sent by consultants, schools or families.
Dana Hall does not accept the SLEP test.
Application and Immigration Process
Dana Hall does not accept mid-year applications. Thus, all new students begin in the fall semester.
Dana Hall provides I-20 Forms to international boarding students in grades 9-12. In order for a student to receive an I-20 Form and apply for an F-1 Visa, a student must first apply, be admitted, and enroll at Dana Hall.
According to United States regulations, families requesting an I-20 Form must also provide the School with financial certification and proof of the applicant’s citizenship before creating an I-20 Form. Dana Hall does not offer financial aid to international students. Financial aid applicants must be United States citizens paying United States taxes.
